One of the photographs “from the church archive” published on Voices of Kingstanding’s Christ the King page in November 2012, alongside a short history of the parish written for its eightieth anniversary.

The parish history says that for a time Sunday Mass was celebrated in the College Arms assembly room and later at Cranbourne Road School, before a wooden church was built.
