One of the photographs “from the church archive” published on Voices of Kingstanding’s Christ the King page in November 2012, alongside a short history of the parish written for its eightieth anniversary.

Kathleen McCarty recalls there that the foundation stone was laid in April 1962 “and the first service was Midnight Mass at Christmas Eve 1962”.
