The King Charles pub, glimpsed through railings and pine trees.

The King Charles, a white-painted pub with steep roofs and a tall chimney bearing the inn sign, seen from across the road through iron railings, bushes and trees, with tall concrete street lamps.

Notes

Remembered locally as “The Charlie”, an Ansells house on Kings Road; a Kings Road street party is recalled as running from the King Charles to Harringay Road. The date of this photograph is not known (the lamps suggest the 1960s or 1970s).
