Sundridge Road School’s celebration of the Festival of Britain.

Diane Stringer donated this cutting to Voices of Kingstanding. The printed caption says pupils of Sundridge Road Primary School, Kingstanding, were celebrating Festival of Britain year by presenting a pageant – “making history lessons entertaining as well as instructive” – in which “a very small King William I (above) is crowned in the presence of his soldiers”.
