Captain D'Arcy Gallagher and Staff Sergeant Richard A. Gilbert at work in the depot office at Lichfield, the headquarters of the network that included the Pheasey GI camp.

US Army Signal Corps photograph of a captain (Brooklyn, NY) and a staff sergeant (Boston, Mass.) checking pay accounts in a depot office, with filing trays, an adding machine and pin-up photos on the shelves behind.

Notes

The NARA caption reads 'at an Army Replacement Depot "Somewhere in England." Lichfield Staffs, England', 28 January 1944, ETO-HQ-44-784. It shows the kind of office routine that the Collins book describes at the Pheasey sub-depot's orderly room. The Pheasey orderly room itself is pictured only in the Collins photographs, which are permission leads. This is Lichfield, not Pheasey, and should be captioned that way.
