A soldier in battledress, glass in hand, with the ODEON sign behind him.

A cheerful soldier in British Army battledress with a white belt holds a glass of beer. Behind him are a parked saloon car, an open lorry and the curved front of an Odeon cinema, with its name in large letters. Brick gate piers stand at the edge of the forecourt.

Notes

Not yet identified. The cinema is probably the Kingstanding Odeon at the Circle (opened 1935), photographed from the forecourt across the road, but this needs confirming. The uniform suggests the Second World War or just after. If you know who he is, please tell us.
