I attended Kingsland from 1965 til 1971. Really enjoyed my time there, some great kids and brilliant teachers. Main memories are of the lovely head, Mr Dowle, one of my teachers Mrs Grant who was an extra in Crossroads. Mr Thomas who bought his house from Albion player Colin Suggett. Also recall the Villa players training on Cooksey Lane playing fields as they’d sold the training ground to King Edward’s school in Aston, where I went to after leaving Kingsland. Also remember the Grahame brothers, Alan and Andy riding their Motocross sidecar around the playground, anyone else remember this?
One final memory was getting the pump off Mr Williams for throwing iceballs at the targets on the wall in the corner of the playground.
