I went to a day nursery close to kingstanding circle in 1942 to about 47. Still have many good memories. It was a wooden building with a pram shelter outside. I remember father Xmas coming and I’m sure his reindeer was really a goat. After lunch we had to have cod liver oil followed by a spoon of blackcurrant jam, to this day can’t stand blackcurrant jam. Afternoon nap was on a little wooden bed which were stacked and stored in the corner. Around 75 years ago but I still remember it fondly. My brothers went as well, I know the nurses called my youngest brother taddy.
