Hi, I was at Kingsland Road School from 1946-1950, the boys classrooms were on one side of the playground and the girls were on the other side. Although we all shared the same playground the rules were that we ( boys) were not allowed to mix with the girls. I was in Miss Baldwins class and found out that she had a knack when caning us with a very thin cane that she would hit us on the tips of our fingers and it sure did hurt. I did enjoy my time at the school and in 1950 moved to Peckham Road for twelve months before moving to Shard End.
