Local memories

What people who knew this place have said about it, in their own words. These are memories, not checked facts.

“I lived … Rough Road with my Nan, Grandad, Mim, Dad and all my Wiley aunts and uncles. Left for US in 1954. My house was known for many things, one of which was a place to leave bets. Grandad Wiley was a bookie. Went to Peckham Rd school. Remember butchers shop at bottom of hill and some shop where I would get sweets.”
