The National Fire Service at Kingstanding, Second World War
1939–1945 · Kings Road
National Fire Service Kingstanding, 1939 to 1945.
Chris Hillcox writes on Voices of Kingstanding: “The fire station was location on the corner of Kings Road and Dunedin Road and was there at least during 1939 to 1945.” Alan Hitchman remembers an auxiliary fire station during and just after the war on Kingstanding Road, “between “Ryans Fields” and the “Kingstanding Pub”, so it could have been about where the library is near Dunedin Road”.
Notes
Voices of Kingstanding gives the date range 1939 to 1945 and does not say who took the photograph.
