The official opening of the branch: 23 October 1937.

The Kingstanding Road branch of the Birmingham Municipal Bank was formally opened on 23 October 1937 by the Lord Mayor, Alderman H Roberts, according to David Parkes’s history of the bank quoted on Voices of Kingstanding. The branch had begun in 1932 as a part-time evening branch in temporary accommodation.
