Father Clancy and Father Morgan, Christ the King
1958–1962 · Christ the King parish, Kingstanding
Share
Father Clancy with Father Eric Morgan, assistant priest 1956–1962.
One of the photographs “from the church archive” published on Voices of Kingstanding’s Christ the King page in November 2012, alongside a short history of the parish written for its eightieth anniversary.
The parish history records Fr John Clancy as parish priest from 1958 to 1986, the longest-serving in the parish, and says he took on the parish “with a view to organizing the building of a church”.
Notes
Dated from the label: Fr Clancy arrived in 1958 and Fr Morgan left in 1962.
