Dulwich Road School, 1932

Chris Hillcox’s timeline on Voices of Kingstanding records that the school opened on 1 June 1931 as Twickenham Road senior school, moved to huts on Dulwich Road in September 1931, and reopened in its permanent building in 1932.

The photograph appears with the memories of Keith Allen, who wrote: “My mother Carmen Attwell is in the pigtails in the second row.”

Notes

Keith Allen’s line about his mother sits directly below this photograph on the page, but the page also holds other class photos, so it may refer to a neighbouring picture.
