Children from Cranbourne Road (later Kingsthorne) School arriving at Ripley, Derbyshire, as evacuees during the Second World War. The Ripley & Heanor News reported in 2012 that it is likely Kingstanding evacuees arrived in 1941 and 1942 from Peckham Road, Cranbourne Road and Kingsland schools.
