That two class room school I went to when I was five years old. on the corner of Harringay and Kingstanding roads. I think it had a small play ground at the front and the windows were high and you could not see out of them. My wife also went there in 1940 for one year, she thinks it was re opened during the war as annex, for Peckham road school It looks like it is now a shop called Iceland and next door to it [that used to be the Midland Bank, is now Lloyds]
Looking at the map you sent me I would say that Texaco service station is now were Scots was 80 years ago. We lived three houses up from there. There was a drive down into there property on the left was a very old house and opposite the work shop, We often went down and watched them shoeing horses etc. They also hired out flat top hand carts On the opposite side of the road there was Ryan’s. He used to grow roses and sell them from a shed.
