I lived in Aylesbury Crescent from 1946 to 1966 my name was Pat Banks and was a regular at St Lukes I remember Father Loyson he told me it was about time I was married that was 1962 and I was 16 my brother used to be a server his name is Terry Banks the girl he married Frances Westwood was in the choir with Ruby and Margaret wheaton Flo, Les, and Susan devey It was a lovely place to be very friendly we went on lots of outings to the seaside I remember Barbara and John they married also Alvis and Paul I married at Saint Luke’s in 1966 Richard Butler married us I remember how disappointed I was because they had just started to modernise it and all the scaffolding was up on the inside of the church it looked like a building site on my wedding photos
