I went to Peckham Road school at the age of 7 in 1952, I remember Mrs Bloxham very well and Miss Boot. In the senior school we became King’s Rise County Modern Girls School and wore maroon blazers and matching berets(well some of us did) Our teachers in the senior school were Miss Eastgate, Miss Roberts, Miss Robinson, Mrs Cooper, Miss Musto and Miss James. I loved school and I was very happy there. I recall going to Bockleton camp when I was about 13 years of age, we went for three weeks in the summer and had a wonderful time. Happy days!
