I’m Rosemarie Hunt, was Stevenson, and I went to King’s Rise from 1969 to 1974. I’ve always been bad at remembering people’s names but I do remember Mrs Grigg geography, Mr Pocknal Science, Mr Bradley took us for Drama. Myself and Linda Susan Davis ended up on TV because of Mr Pocknal. We both dropped out of shorthand, and had to do a science project instead, he entered us in a science fayre at Birmingham Uni and there we were spotted by the Young Scientist of the year programme producers. Anyway we got to go to pebble Mill with some of the other kids in the audience and presented our work on the language of guinea pigs!! I’ll never forget that teacher for his help and inspiration. I ended up working as Science Tech at Aston Uni and Birmingham Uni and later as Disability officer for Aston uni. Retired now.
Mr Lane was deputy head and we all loved him, I remember a school trip to Belgium in 1973/4 where I met his daughter Heather (I think) she was same age as us, we all had great fun.

I used to live in Cranbourne Grove and went to Kingsthorne infants and juniors. I remember it being a lovely school and being very happy there. I would have started school about 1972.
