I too ‘worked’ for Tommy Stroyd (the correct spelling) the co-op milkman about 1968-70’s time.
I remember those freezing winter mornings delivering the milk.
Friday’s was always a long day cos he collected the money from the customers.
We used to go for a bacon sarnie at the cafe on college road part way through the round.
Tommy always stopped for a cup of coffee at our house, and there were other regular tea stops too along the route, ha ha.
