About Kingstanding Together

Kingstanding Together is an independent, unincorporated community and civic association for Kingstanding, Oscott and Perry Common, run by its members — local people standing up for the place we live, from celebrating our history and caring for our landmarks and green spaces to campaigning on the issues that matter here.

Independent and non-party-political

We are independent of all political parties. Our campaigns are local, non-partisan causes, and anyone is welcome to take part or sign, whatever their politics. Members who hold or seek elected office take part in a personal capacity, not as representatives of any party — and we do not endorse parties or candidates.

Our constitution

The Association is governed by a written constitution setting out our purpose, membership and how decisions are made. You can read our constitution in full (to be formally adopted at our founding general meeting), or request a copy from our contact form.

Membership and meetings

Membership is open to anyone aged 16 or over and is free. Members receive notice of general meetings, can vote, and can propose activities. If you would like to get involved or ask about our meetings, get in touch.

A note on names

Kingstanding Together is a separate organisation from the long-established Kingstanding Community Association, the charity at Kings Road / Kingstanding Road. We are not connected to it — different organisations, both working for Kingstanding.

Campaigns and your data

Petitions are one of the ways we campaign. Signature data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and only verified signatures are submitted to Birmingham City Council.
