Submission Guidelines

What you can share, the rules that keep our community safe, and how moderation works.

This is Kingstanding is a community hub for Kingstanding, Oscott and Perry Common. Residents, community groups and local businesses can submit events, group listings, community notices and business listings for us to publish. These guidelines explain what we accept, the rules that apply, and how we moderate content so the site stays accurate, useful and safe for everyone. By submitting content you agree to follow them.

What can be submitted

Content should be relevant to Kingstanding, Oscott or Perry Common, accurate, and written in plain, respectful language. We do not accept spam, scams, hate speech, harassment, content that is unlawful, or anything that could put a person at risk.

Safeguarding rules

Keeping children and young people safe comes before everything else. The following rules are mandatory for all submissions, and we will edit or remove anything that breaches them:

If you are worried that a child is in immediate danger, call 999. To raise a safeguarding concern about content on this site, contact us so we can review it urgently.

Content standards

We don't publish content that is unlawful, hateful, misleading, or that uses the site to attack a person, group or business. Civic information — such as how to contact your councillors, consultations and how to report local issues — is always welcome because it helps everyone.

Moderation process

Submissions are reviewed by our moderators before they appear. We aim to review content promptly, but please allow a few days, especially around weekends and holidays. We may approve content, ask you for changes, or decline it. We may also edit minor details (such as formatting or obvious typos) so listings are clear and consistent. Approved content can still be amended or removed later if circumstances change or a problem comes to light.

How to request corrections

If something we have published is wrong, out of date, or should be removed — including for safeguarding or privacy reasons — please tell us and we will look into it quickly. Use our request a correction form to let us know what needs changing and why.
