Report a problem
Report a Local Issue
Choose the type of problem to find the right place to report it. This is a signposting guide — your report goes straight to the council or police, not to us.
In an emergency, always call 999 — risk to life, a crime in progress, fire, a gas leak or a serious road hazard. For non-emergency police matters, call 101.
We don't log or fix problems ourselves — the guides below point you to the right authority (usually Birmingham City Council or West Midlands Police) so your report reaches the people who can act on it.
Report a broken street light
Report broken or flickering street lights to the council with the column number if visible.
Report a missed bin collection
Check your collection day, then report a missed bin to Birmingham City Council within 2 working days.
Report a pothole
Report potholes on roads and pavements to the council, noting the exact location.
Report antisocial behaviour
For non-emergencies call West Midlands Police on 101 or report online. Always call 999 in an emergency.
Report fly-tipping
Report fly-tipping to the council with the location and a photo. Do not touch hazardous waste.
